Dr. Carl Mallow
Dr. Carl Mallow holds a Ph.D.
from the Philosophy, Psychobiology, Psychology Department at University of
Pittsburgh, a Master of Science degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Edinboro State University. His track
record demonstrates a strong aptitude for creative leadership. He has held
positions as a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania School
of Medicine and a Licensed Psychologist in the Division of Oncology at The
Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). His interest in family adjustment after a
child is diagnosed with cancer led him to become an expert in the evaluation of
interventions through randomized clinical trials. He was recently published in
the Journal of Medical Science on the rates of posttraumatic stress symptoms in
siblings of childhood cancer survivors. His research has received funding from the
National Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society.
